Calgot Valent descends from the stallion Valent which is started in the international sport by Dermott Lennon. Like the twofold Lanaken World Champion Barnike (Bertram Allen) and the KWPN stallion Cidane (Kristian Houwen) also Valent is a grandson of the mare Garnike. Dam Liscalgot is generally reckoned to be one of the best sport mares in history. Under Dermott Lennon she won the World title (2002, Jerez de la Frontera) and European team gold (2001, Arnheim). Therefore Liscalgot belongs to the elite group of five mares that won the individual WC title since the very first WC in 1953.
